Holly Brewer, North Carolina State University, has been awarded the Order of the Coif Book Award for By Birth or Consent: Children, Law, and the Anglo-American Revolution in Authority (2007). The award is given biennially, and has been awarded in the past to Grant Gilmore, John Rawls, Lawrence Friedman and other leading scholars. Professor Brewer is the youngest awardee. Brewer previously picked up the William Nelson Cromwell Foundation prize from the American Society for Legal History and the Willard Hurst Prize from the Law and Society Association. Congratulations!
