The Securities and Exchange Commission Historical Society announces the opening of a new gallery in its
Virtual Museum and Archive.
"The Imperial SEC? - Foreign Policy and the Internationalization of the Securities Markets, 1934- 1990," brings together over 200 papers, photos, oral histories and online programs highlighting the SEC's work in regulating securities across the globe. Curated by
Felice Batlan, Chicago-Kent Law School, the gallery looks at such topics as "the SEC's role in the creation of the International Bank for Reconstruction and Development, the SEC and USAID, and the development of MOUs." [At right, SEC members in Beijing in the 1990s.]
