Markus D. Dubber, University of Toronto Faculty of Law, has posted
Histories of Crime and Criminal Justice and the Historical Analysis of Criminal Law, which is forthcoming in the
Oxford Handbook of the History of Crime and Criminal Justice, ed. Paul Knepper and Anja Johansen. He writes, “This essay reflects on the relationship between the history of crime, the history of criminal justice, and the history of criminal law. It suggests an account of the historical analysis of criminal law that locates it within the general project of critical analysis of law (CAL).”
