The legal historians at
Boston College have had the wit to use this year's Constitution Day to commemorate the 150th anniversary of the Civil Rights Act by inviting
Michael Vorenberg, Brown University, to speak on "The Fourteenth Amendment as an Act of War." The event is at once the first meeting this academic year of BC's Legal History Roundtable and a Constitution Day lecture, jointly sponsored by the Clough Center for the Study of Constitutional Democracy and the Law School. Professor Vorenberg will speak on Tuesday, September 20, 2016, at 5:00 p.m. in Barat House at the Boston College Law School.
