Bernstein's Very Short Introduction to Alexander Hamilton

We were surprised, moved, but also pleased to see the posthumous publication of R. B. Bernstein’s Alexander Hamilton: A Very Short Introduction (Oxford University Press):

Alexander Hamilton: A Very Short Introduction examines the life of a revolutionary leader, constitutional thinker, and the nation’s first secretary of the treasury. He led the effort to author The Federalist, offering a brilliant defense of the Constitution, and championed its broad interpretation. This VSI presents his drive to build a strong national government capable of preserving the Revolution’s achievements and securing the nation’s survival. It captures his role as a soldier, legal expert, and political strategist who shaped American governance. Through relentless ambition and action, Hamilton embodied the energy essential for the country’s success.
