Elizabeth Fox-Genovese has died

This from History News Network/Cliopatria: Emory University reports the death yesterday of historian Elizabeth Fox-Genovese, after a long illness. Among her works are: Within the Plantation Household: Black and White Women of the Old South (1988), The Mind of the Master Class: History and Faith in the Southern Slaveholders' Worldview (with Eugene D. Genovese)(2005) (called a "towering work," in this H-Net review) and "Feminism is Not the Story of My Life": How Today's Feminist Elite Has Lost Touch with the Real Concerns of Women (1996). She is remembered today in several blogs, including here, and here.
