YouTube and History

Ralph Luker at Cliopatria makes for good reading today, with a post on YouTube and history. He begins with a clip from Norway, of an imagined IT guy, 500 years ago, introducing a user to new technology: the book!

Luker's second example brings us to a moving rendition of "Alabama," by John Coltrane, after the 16th Street Church bombing in Birmingham, Alabama in September 1963. Volokh Conspiracy picked this up first, but Luker's post is most powerful. Best to see this in context, so click here and scroll down.
