Area Legal History Roundtable, an occasional gathering of legal historians based in and around the nation’s capital, will reconvene for lunch and the presentation of scholarly papers on Friday, September 19, at the Georgetown University Law Center. How nice to have an open call for papers! Perhaps more colloquia should do that.

The Roundtable rotates among the DC law schools. Although someone at the host institution ultimately sets the program, we try to do so in a collegial fashion, hence the open call. I'm afraid the posting will be of most interest to legal historians based in the Washington area, as to keep things simple none of the schools put up travel money or stipends for speakers or attendees. The food usually is pretty good, though. DRE
