Indiana Legal History
The Indiana Supreme Court sponsors a remarkable Legal History Lecture Series. "Why It Mattered That Lincoln Was a Lawyer: Abraham Lincoln, the Law & Civic Education," a free CLE-approved program will take place on October 3, 2008. Other programs archived on the court's website include “221 Years of Unsettled Borders: Indiana and the Northwest Ordinance," “Hoosier Justice at Nuremberg,” Slavery and The Indiana Supreme Court: For and Against?" (delivered by Paul Finkelman), and "'Three Generations of Imbeciles are Enough': Reflections on 100 Years of Eugenics in Indiana." More here.
