Tsesis on Antislavery Constitutionalism
Posted by Mary L. Dudziak
Alexander Tsesis, Loyola University of Chicago School of Law, has posted a short essay, Antislavery Constitutionalism. It will appear in the ENCYCLOPEDIA OF THE SUPREME COURT OF THE UNITED STATES. Here's the abstract: This is an encyclopedia entry dealing with the various facets of the antislavery movement. It distinguishes the Garrisonian, radical political abolitionist, and moderate antislavery perspectives on ending slavery. The essay quotes and cites original sources to illustrate the groups' core arguments.
