The Institute for Legal Studies at
Wisconsin Law has announced the
2011 Hurst Fellows. The
draft program for the
Hurst Summer Institute in Legal History, to be held June 12-24 under the able direction of
Barbara Young Welke, is here. As Duke legal historian Edward Balleisan explains,
"The institute gives early career legal historians the chance to engage intensively with several eminent scholars in the field, as well as exceptionally talented peers. They have the opportunity to build intellectual networks that can last for years." (Duke's press release, in which Professor Balleisan quite understandably kvells over the selection of three Duke history graduate students, is here.)
