The project Reinventing the Foundations of European Legal Culture 1934-1964, which is financed by a European Research Council Starting Grant, seeks “one post doc and two doctoral students to research positions for a period of four years. The project studies the cultural reception of Roman law and the uses of the classical past by legal historians of an era for the creation of a common European legal past. The positions are amply suited for legal historians.
“The project is located at the University of Helsinki and offers a decent salary with full benefits. The persons selected are expected to begin work within the end of the year. The deadline for applications is April 15, 2013."
