History of the Islamic World/Muslim World, Assistant Professor, Tenure-Track. The History Department at Duke University invites applications for the position of a tenure-track, assistant professor from scholars of the history of Muslim societies and cultures, broadly defined. Theme, period, and geographic specialty are open. The appointment will begin July 2016, at the start of the 2016-2017 academic year. Candidates should provide evidence of excellence in research with a commitment to teaching at both the graduate and undergraduate levels.
