The Passing of Judge Marie Garibaldi

We briefly noted the passing of the trailblazing female judge of the New York’s highest court, Judge Judith Kaye.  One of our former students has alerted us to the passing on Friday of New Jersey’s first female supreme court judge, Marie Garibaldi.  The AP story quotes colleagues who called her “fair and calm, and kept her network of 46 former clerks together like a family.”  My former student, a Garibaldi clerk, attests to the last.
