History Journal Response Times Wiki
How long does it take to hear back from the history journal you'd like to submit your article to? Check out the History Journal Response Times Wiki. Some of the journal response times, including for full peer review, are shorter than I would have expected (e.g. Journal of American History "3 1/2 months (revise & resubmit); 4 months (acceptance)"), while others do stretch out for a while (e.g. Journal of African History "18 months (chose to withdraw without decision made)"). This is a wiki, and it appears to be fairly new, so expect it to improve, with more examples added over time. Hat tip: Brett Holman.
