I missed, until now, the posting on the website of the
Supreme Court Historical Society of the audiorecordings of two lectures by leading legal historians.

The first is
Ladies of Legend, The First Generation of American Women Attorneys, by
Jill Norgren, the author of a biography of one of them, Belva Lockwood. (See
here,
here and
here.) Norgren is also Professor Emerita of Government at John Jay College of Criminal Justice and the Graduate Center, the City University of New York. She delivered the lecture on October 27, 2008. It was hosted by the Supreme Court Historical Society, The Historical Society of the Courts of the State of New York and Friends of John Jay Homestead.

The second is
Scarlet Fever, Stanley Matthews and the Ohio Supreme Court by
Linda Przybyszewski, Notre Dame University. It provides a preview of her forthcoming book on the Cincinnati Bible War. She originally delivered it on April 1, 2009.
