The Lucky Ones: One Family and the Extraordinary Invention of Chinese America by Mae Ngai is written with "remarkable -- some might say chilling -- objectivity," according to Carolyn See in the Washington Post.  Ngai's new book is also noted in the Los Angeles Times and is recommended reading from the San Francisco Chronicle.
