Green Bag Does Doyle's "One Crowded Hour"

Our friends at The Green Bag have published the latest in its series of coffee table books under the series title Regulation & Imagination.  As its title suggests, it is centered on a short story: Legal, Historical & Literary Perspectives on Highway Robbery, featuring the autograph manuscript of Arthur Conan Doyle's One Crowded Hour.  The volume includes not only facsimile reproductions of the published article (in the August 1911 issue of The Strand Magazine and the autograph manuscript but also an introduction from the editor, Ross E. Davies, and commentary by Professor Davies and ten others.  I especially liked Michael A. Perino's essay, "The Wolves of Wall Street," which could enliven a Securities Regulation class with its summaries of fictional treatments of early financial speculation and arresting cartoons of stock manipulators by Udo Keppler.
