Fellowship at Oxford for Junior Scholars in American History

CHRIST CHURCH, UNIVERSITY OF OXFORD
BROADBENT JUNIOR RESEARCH FELLOWSHIP IN AMERICAN HISTORY

The Governing Body of Christ Church proposes to elect a Broadbent Junior Research Fellow in American History. The fellowship is open to men and women and is tenable for three years from 1 October 2007.The fellowship is normally awarded to those who are approaching the end of their doctoral research or who have begun postdoctoral study. The fellow must engage in original research on some topic in American history from 1600. He or she will be expected to provide up to five hours per week of tutorial and class teaching and to be involved in the work of the American history group in the History Faculty of the University of Oxford and the programmes of the Rothermere American Institute. The current salary is £18,385 per annum.
