The Ralph Gomory Prize of the Business History Conference (made possible by the Alfred P. Sloan Foundation) recognizes historical work on the effect business enterprises have on the economic conditions of a country in which they operate. Two prizes of $5,000 are awarded annually, one for a book and second for an article, and may be for work published in English in 2010 and 2011. The Gomory Prize will be presented at the annual meeting of the Business History Conference to be held in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, March 29 to 31, 2012. Book nominations are accepted from publishers and article nominations from the author of the article. The submission deadline is December 31, 2011.
