Blogger's Query: Acquiring Federal Judges' Papers
My extracurricular activities include advising the Historical Society of the District of Columbia Circuit. For that work, I would be grateful to learn from any archivist or special collections librarian what factors might incline him or her to acquire the papers of a federal trial or appellate judge. In addition, I’d be grateful to learn of any publications heralding the acquisition of such papers, such as Katherine Hedin, “The University of Minnesota Law Library Named Recipient of the Papers of Judge James M. Rosenbaum,” The Colophon (Spring 2011): 3-5. Please reply to email@example.com.
