March on Constitutional Authority in Islamic Law

Andrew F. March, Political Science, Yale University, has posted Constitutional Authority, which is forthcoming in the Ashgate Research Companion to Islamic Law, ed. Ruud Peters and Peri Bearman (2014), 179-192.  It is “a survey of Islamic theories of 'constitutional authority' from the founding of Islam to the Ottomans.”
