Supporting legal history

For those of you looking for a place for last-minute end-of-the-year charitable contributions, here are some ways to support legal history.

The Endowment Campaign of the American Society for Legal History. Or you can simply join the ASLH, if you are not already a member. Go here and click on "Membership." Student membership is only $20.

Memorial funds to remember Kermit Hall and Kenneth Cmiel, who passed away in 2006.

The Oliver Hill Foundation, in honor of civil rights lawyer Oliver Hill, who passed away in 2007 at the age of 100.

The New Orleans Public Library, home to important archives, and still rebuilding after Katrina.

The Emma Goldman Papers, housed at U.C. Berkeley but needing contributions to continue their work.
