A CLE Program on (and Celebratory Toast to) the Virginia Declaration of Rights

[We have an announcement from the Constitutional Sources Project (ConSource) and George Mason’s Gunston Hall of “a special continuing legal education program in honor of the 240th Anniversary of the Virginia Declaration of Rights on June 4, 2016 from 12 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.”]

The CLE program and celebration will include the following:

12 p.m. - 1 p.m. A session with Virginia Supreme Court Justice Stephen McCullough on the Continued Relevance of the 1776 Virginia Declaration of Rights to Virginia constitutionalism.

1:30 p.m. - 2:30 p.m. A session with George Mason University School of Law Professor Joyce Malcolm on the Influence of the Virginia Declaration of Rights on other state constitutions and the United States Constitution.

3:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m. A session with Cato Institute Center for Constitutional Studies Research Fellow Trevor Burris on the Continued Relevance of George Mason and the Anti-Federalists.

4:30 - 6:00 p.m. Wine Tasting and tours of George Mason's historic home and estate at Gunston Hall.

6:00 p.m. - 7:30 p.m. Dinner and discussion on the Virginia Declaration of Rights, and a special celebratory toast with George Mason himself!
