Welcome, Christopher Schmidt!

We at LHB are thrilled to announce that Christopher W. Schmidt will be joining us as a guest blogger for the month of November.

Chris Schmidt is an Assistant Professor of Law at IIT Chicago-Kent College of Law, where he teaches constitutional law, legal history, comparative constitutional law, local government law, and sports law. Since 2011, he has also been a faculty fellow at the American Bar Foundation. He is currently at work on a book, titled Creating Brown v. Board of Education: Law, Ideology, and Constitutional Change, 1941-2007. It "examines the political and intellectual context behind the Supreme Court's landmark 1954 school desegregation decision and efforts of subsequent generations to redefine Brown's meaning and significance." He also serves as an associate editor of Law & Social Inquiry.
